About B2CEO™

Built in Uganda for the Way Businesses Are Actually Run Here.

B2CEO™ — Builder to CEO — is an entrepreneurship and business leadership development platform for founders, SMEs and organisations in Uganda and across Africa. One idea sits underneath all of it: the transition from running the business to leading it.

Why B2CEO Exists

The Missing Layer Between Enterprise and Scale.

Uganda has no shortage of entrepreneurial energy. What is scarce is the management and leadership training that turns a working hustle into an institution — the unglamorous capability of hiring properly, delegating real authority, holding people accountable without damaging relationships, documenting how work is done, and reading your own numbers well enough to decide with them.

Business owners here are rarely offered that. Formal management education is expensive, academic and built around organisations that already have systems. Start-up support focuses on the first year. Grants and loans assume a business that can absorb them. The layer in between — you already trade, and now everything depends on you — is where most owner-led businesses get stuck, and where B2CEO works.

The framing that runs through everything is deliberately plain: build the business, become the CEO. Not a change of title. A change in what the person at the top does all day.

Every business we’ve worked with taught us something about what actually changes behaviour — not just theory, but what founders can realistically put into practice on a Saturday morning before going back to run their business on Monday.

— Maria Masengere, Director, B2CEO™

Methodology

How the Material Is Built

Global frameworks, local application

The underlying thinking draws on established global leadership and management practice. What is rebuilt is the application. Feedback models are adapted for settings where seniority and family relationships carry real weight. Financial modules assume a notebook, mobile money and an accountant whose reports arrive unexplained. Tools are tested to work on Android over mobile data, because that is the device most participants will use.

Applied, not theoretical

Each of the six modules ends with something built inside the participant's own business — a delegation plan, a hiring filter, a written SOP, a pricing review, a working AI workflow. Over 80 tools and templates and 100 AI prompts exist to make that possible, and they remain with participants after the programme ends.

Structured around the six pillars

People, performance, process, productivity, profit and AI & technology are taught as one interdependent system rather than six separate subjects, because in practice they fail together. The reasoning is set out in full under the six-pillar framework.

Delivered on Saturdays, on purpose

Sessions run Saturday mornings, 9:00 to 11:30, because participants are running businesses Monday to Friday. Six sessions, roughly eighteen hours of live facilitation, plus a peer accountability group and an optional private coaching track.

Straight Answers

What B2CEO Does Not Claim.

Credibility in this field is mostly a matter of what an organisation refuses to promise.

—
No revenue guarantees. Business outcomes depend on markets, capital and execution, not on a curriculum
—
No claim that leadership can be installed in a weekend. Capability needs application between sessions
—
No partnerships, accreditations or client names are claimed on this site that are not in place
—
No published statistics about African enterprise without a verifiable source attached
—
No physical campus. Delivery is online and in person in Kampala at arranged venues
—
Not the right fit for idea-stage founders who are not yet trading
